Type locality: Senegal, no locality data available.
Diagnosis
Male is similar to O. austeni by (a) great size, Hw 34-50 mm; (b) Fw triangle 3-4 cells, subtriangle of 5-10 cells; (c) Fw discoidal field of 4-5 cell-rows at base; (d) Pt 5 mm or more. However, differs by (1) favouring pools in savanna and woodland; (2) membranule whitish rather than dark; (3) 17-19 Ax in Fw; (4) subcostal Ax pale rather than dark; (5) 3-4 cell-rows in radial planate; (6) Abd under 3 mm wide. Habitat description
Standing and probably often temporary waters in open landscapes, but sometimes also open areas in forest or possibly shaded by gallery forest. Often with emergent vegetation and a soft (like muddy) bottom. From 0 to 700 m above sea level, but possibly up to 1800.
