Diagnosis
Male is similar to L. congoensis by (a) the pair of small teeth close to the tip of the epiproct dorsum. However, differs by (1) ranging from N Uganda to W Africa; (2) epiproct flat rather than raised at base. [Adapted from Dijkstra & Clausnitzer 2014 and Dijkstra, Kipping & Mézière 2015]
Habitat description
Not known well, but probably rivers shaded by gallery forest or in open landscapes. Probably often with coarse detritus and a soft (like muddy) bottom. Inferred to occur from 100 to 1300 m above sea level.
