Habitat description
Streams, but possibly also rivers, in open landscapes or shaded by gallery forest. Often with emergent vegetation and probably especially calmer sections (like pools) with coarse detritus. Inferred to occur from 0 to 1200 m above sea level, but mostly below 700.
